Restaurant Manager for One of Greenland’s Most Iconic Hotels – Ilulissat, Greenland’s Only 4-Star Superior Hotel with 5-Star Conference Facilities
Do you want to lead the gastronomic experience at a hotel where international guests travel for the food, the view, and the atmosphere? We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee our brasserie, which serves classic Danish and Greenlandic dishes, as well as our fine dining restaurant, Restaurant Ulo, where we are ambitiously working toward achieving a Michelin star – the world’s northernmost.
Your Role
As Restaurant Manager, you are the driving force behind service, ambience, and operations. You create structure, quality, and a welcoming atmosphere – ensuring that the guest experience matches the spectacular view of the Ilulissat Icefjord.
Your key responsibilities
Leadership & culture
- Lead and develop an engaged team
- Ensure a workplace defined by teamwork, quality, and good spirit
Daily operations
- Ensure smooth service flow
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards
Guest relations
- Be visible on the floor and interact with guests
- Handle feedback professionally
Menu & wine
- Collaborate with the kitchen on new dishes
- Develop and maintain a strong wine list
- Advise guests on wine and pairings
Training & Development
- Train staff in service, menu knowledge, and wine
- Contribute to continuous quality improvements
Economy & Administration
- Inventory management, purchasing, and cost control
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and operational goals
We imagine that you…
- Have experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar role – preferably within fine dining
- Possess solid wine knowledge and enjoy sharing it
- Are strong in leadership, communication, and guest interaction
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and keep a steady overview
- Work in a structured and detail-oriented manner
- Are fluent in English
