Habi Khaliqdad is a passionate and highly skilled chef whose culinary journey has led him to the remote, inspiring setting of Restaurant Ulo, nestled in Ilulissat at Hotel Arctic. With a background rooted in Danish fine dining, Habi brings a refined sensibility and a deep respect for ingredients to every dish he creates.


Over the years, Habi has worked in some of Denmark’s most ambitious kitchens - in 2017, he was even a finalist in the prestigious “Årets Kok” competition, highlighting his dedication and talent.


At Restaurant Ulo, Habi channels his experience into crafting a modern Nordic tasting menu that embraces the purity and wildness of the Arctic landscape. He draws inspiration from the traditional Greenlandic kitchen and elevates local ingredients with Nordic techniques - each plate is a tribute to the raw beauty of nature and the rich cultural heritage of the region.


Habi believes that food is a bridge between land and people. Through his cooking, he aims to create unforgettable moments for guests - moments that speak of craftsmanship, sustainability, and the spirit of community.
